McCullough's 2026 Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Jodi Marion

With more than 22 years of dedicated service in education, Mrs. Marion brings passion, experience, and heart to everything she does. Originally from North Carolina, she joined the Colonial School District in 2020 and has spent the past four years making a lasting impact at McCullough Middle School as a 6th Grade Social Studies teacher.

Mrs. Marion is known for her dynamic classroom, where social studies and literacy come alive through engaging read-alouds, novel studies, and thoughtful discussions. Drawing on her experience teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies as an integrated curriculum, she creates meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity and deepen understanding.

What truly sets Mrs. Marion apart is her unwavering commitment to her students. Guided by her belief in “connection over content,” she prioritizes strong relationships, trust, and a supportive classroom environment where every student feels seen and valued. Her dedication to building these connections is what makes her an exceptional educator—and a truly deserving Teacher of the Year.
