Greetings McCullough Students, Families, and Community Members,
I believe every student who walks through the doors of McCullough Middle School should know three things: you belong here, you are capable of great things, and you matter. Middle school is an important time when students are discovering who they are, finding their strengths, and learning how to navigate challenges. My vision is for McCullough to be a place where students feel known, valued, supported, and challenged. I want our students to leave us with not only strong academic skills, but also confidence, resilience, empathy, and a belief in themselves and their ability to make a difference.
I believe the foundation of a great school is relationships. Students thrive when they know the adults around them genuinely care about them, and staff thrive when they feel trusted, valued, and supported. I am committed to building a culture where we hold high expectations while also providing encouragement, collaboration, and grace. Personally, I find the most meaningful part of this work in the moments when a student begins to believe in themselves, a staff member recognizes the impact they are making, or someone simply knows that they are seen and cared about. My hope is that every student and staff member who walks through McCullough's doors knows they are an important part of our community—and that together, we can accomplish great things.

Greetings McCullough Students, Families, and Community Members,
Welcome to Calvin R. McCullough Middle School! I believe the transition from elementary to middle school is one of the most important steps in a student’s educational journey. It brings new opportunities, greater independence, increased expectations, and new challenges. My goal is to help make that transition a successful one by creating an environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging, connection, and support as they learn what it means to be a successful middle school student.
I believe success is not something we simply expect from students—it is something we must teach, model, reinforce, and celebrate. Through positive reinforcement, clear expectations, consistent routines, and meaningful relationships, we help students develop the behaviors and habits they need to become more responsible and independent. Accountability is an important part of that process, but so is recognizing growth, providing opportunities to learn from mistakes, and celebrating students when they make positive choices.
Most importantly, I want our students to know that they have people here who believe in them and are committed to helping them grow. We understand that students do not arrive already knowing how to manage every aspect of middle school, and it is our responsibility to teach, guide, and support them along the way. By working together with our families, staff, and community, we can provide the structure, encouragement, and accountability students need while gradually building their independence and helping them grow academically, socially, and personally. #MustangsRunTogether

Greetings McCullough Students, Families, and Community Members,
I believe every school year brings an opportunity for a fresh start, new possibilities, and new dreams. Welcome to a new school year at McCullough! I am so excited to begin this journey with our students.
Middle school is a special time that allows students to discover who they are, identify their strengths, build friendships, overcome challenges, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come. I encourage every student to enter each day with an open mind, a positive heart, and a willingness to learn and grow. It is important that our students are respectful, responsible, kind, and confident in themselves.
I believe every child deserves to know that they matter, that they belong, and that they have people in their corner who believe in them. At McCullough, we are committed to supporting the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. Our goal is for every student to feel safe, seen, valued, encouraged, and supported.
There will be days when things feel easy and days when they feel challenging, but students will never have to face those moments alone. There are caring adults throughout our school who are ready to listen, guide, encourage, and help. Together, we will create a school community where everyone has a place, every voice matters, and every Mustang is encouraged to reach their fullest potential.
As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and I am honored to be a part of that village. I am excited to stand alongside you, support your children, and celebrate their growth throughout the year. Let’s continue to lift one another up, communicate openly, extend grace, and remind our students that they are capable, valued, and deeply cared for.
