A Message from Principal Lewis

Greetings McCullough Families and Community,

It is an honor to continue serving as the Principal of Calvin R. McCullough Middle School. Since becoming principal, my commitment has remained centered on creating a school where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, feel supported, and experience success.

At McCullough, our work is grounded in a few important priorities. We remain deeply focused on student academic growth and achievement, ensuring that every student has access to rigorous, grade-level learning experiences and the support needed to make meaningful progress.

We also recognize that strong teaching and learning require consistent routines, systems, and expectations. Our continued focus on strengthening schoolwide systems helps create predictable learning environments, maximizes instructional time, and allows our students and staff to focus on what matters most—learning.

Equally important is our commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment where students can thrive. We want our students to know that they are valued, that they belong at McCullough, and that there are adults here who care about their success. We believe students are most successful when they feel safe, connected, challenged, and supported.

Finally, we are committed to continuing to build a strong McCullough community where all stakeholders feel seen, heard, valued, and connected. Our students' success requires partnership among our students, families, staff, and community. We value the voices and perspectives of those we serve and recognize that we are stronger when we work together.

As we continue this journey, our goal is not simply to maintain what we have built, but to continually improve. We will celebrate our progress, remain reflective about areas where we can grow, and continue working together to provide our students with the educational experiences they deserve.

I am incredibly proud of the work taking place at McCullough and excited about where we are headed. Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community partners for your continued partnership and belief in our school.
